i love Apple's mail, however, if i was not a mac user then Thunderbird would be my favorite. i like how the calendar is now incorporated into the mail program on Tbird.

Plain old Gmail for me. At work I use Gmail notifier with the registry hack to force https.

I don't want to die without any scars.

Hotmail/Windows Live... works well with my mobile phone.

i dont think any program can beat the integration between mail, contacts and calendar that you get with the Apple Mail App. and Apple/OS X address book and calendar.. and if you use an iPhone, well - it all just works together.

Back in my Windows days (less than a year ago), I tried for months to find an email client that would download all my different HTTP, IMAP and pop3 email accounts (Gmail, Hotmail, GuG, and more) all into ONE inbox. Forget about Outlook Express, Thunderbird could not do it, the new Windows Live client was able to do it, but a download/update literally took 10 minutes. The Apple Mail app does it, seamlessly - and what took the Windows Live client several minutes takes Apple Mail 10 seconds with the exact same accuonts, servers, etc.

persoanlly i like my work email , its handy to have only 1 email address my boss uses smartermail ... a freeware email client that actually works my email is [removed] ... i dunno it works good

I'm using Windows Mail, which appears to be Vista's version of Outlook Express.   64-bit Vista came pre-installed on the laptop I bought about a month ago, and Windows Mail offered seamless import of my old XP's Outlook Express emails and contacts so I stuck with it.  So far, Windows Mail works pretty good,... 64-bit Vista, not so much.

Spike email is amazing, it streamlines email and turns emails into texts. It makes it super easy to have a conversation over email, without having confusing chains.
