Aww... I'm inspirational!

Hey... it's cheaper to do a little snip snip to your jeans than it is to pay 80 bucks a pair for ones long enough for ya... take my word for it.

Odds are your doing something wrong then. I'm vegan and have been for since I was 19. Make sure you get a balanced meal every time. If you skate a lot you're burning a lot of calories. Your muscles need to be fed protein with in about 30 minutes of hard exercise. I will snoss down a couple Boca Chickn patties and some veg bbq beans right after a workout and wash it down with a big glass of soy milk. Or a couple Tofurky beer brats. Protein is important to muscle growth.  Clif builder bars are a good way to cheat and get your protein and they taste good. The most important thing about living as a vegetarian/ vegan is to enjoy eating and enjoy eating a variety of foods. My daughter was a full time vegetarian until my and her mom split up. Her growth was normal for her size. Now she's only veg at my house but her growth rate remains the same.

Re: whats on your christmas list

"How it all Vegan" has lots of simple recipes. Making food from scratch is cheaper than premade stuff, however frozen prepared foods like Boca chicken nuggets or patties or veggie burgers are fairly cheap and easy. Wal-Mart grocery stores sell some vegetarian frozen foods now and for cheap. A couple bucks cheaper per box on some stuff. PB and J is a cheap option. Pasta is super cheap and can be quite tasty. I feel for you. I was on my own when I switched so I was already used to buying my own stuff. But then again I've had a job since I was about 10 so I always had some money. Sorry about this but one day it'll be easier for you.
