Why do you snoop ?

What have you learned from snooping?

I've found that I'm not a very good snooper because I revealed everything I learned without stating where the "information" came from because the person kept lying and it made me angrier. LOL! So of course, the person knew it was myspace.

In hindsight, I wish I had just stopped speaking to this person without the confrontation.

Why? That's simple. Because I can!

Ditto that, and well, I'm currently unemployed, and rather bored.  It's something to do, didn't someone post a photograph the other day about "your ho-tastic life amuses me", or something to that effect?  Yeah, that about sums it up.

"How do you know I'm mad?" asked Alice.
"You must be", said the cat, "Or you wouldn't have come here"

I was always a snooper, but I'm with you in unemployment at the moment. Since I lost my job, I've entertained myself with snooping:-) Generally speaking, I am just a curious person. So snooping satisfies my curiosity!

Okay, but haven't any of you learned anything?

Probably that you wish you had not?

i see what you are saying. That is something my sister taught me many years ago when i use to want to know things about a certain woman, things that would just cause me grief. Now that I am older i dont let those things bother me..as much.

with the codes--i have seen things that would have really upset me many years ago. Back then, i would lay in bed for days depressed, but now i let the things affect me in more positive ways. (long story short, i use the codes to check up on a first love and i just want to know how she is doing. So, i make it positive instead of getting upset when i see other guys trying to date her beautiful self)

great thread by the way :)
trust has been broken in relationships...and rather than find out later
i know what you are saying, and 99% of the time "snooping" can keep you from getting "burnt" again when someone does you wrong once again. As humans, it is a tendency to head on to the next relationship-carrying that lack of trust and "test" the new person to see if they can be trusted.

but, dont forget to remember the other 1% (the one person out there who is real and not shady) : if you snoop on them-it could possibly ruin the exciting mystery of "discovering" them naturally. It could take the fun and excitement out of the real deal.

just my opinion.

I was fortunate to have a great first love, it was just outside circumstances that keep us apart.  We have the "perfect" love. Really suks. Anyways, i guess my point is to give people chances until they give you a reason to not. (easier said than done when those mistrust feelings creep-up though)

I openly state that I accept anything I'm given at face value. However, as humans we know when it's time to listen to that inner voice. Sometimes I don't "listen" to my brain, so I suffer later. LOL!

To avoid that sometimes I snoop.

It's not all about r'ships though. Sometimes I just feel like being a snoop.
