Wireless on Netbook with Ubuntu...

Okay. I got it all installed and now I can't get the wireless to work....any tips or tricks or maybe something I'm not catching. I read that ubuntu sometimes doesn't have the drivers for the minis.   It's an HP mini if that helps at all....Any help would be great.

You probably need to get the exact chip-set of your wireless and look for compatible drivers. Back when i was playing with Ubuntu, i had to go buy a new wireless card because there were no drivers for the one i had.

I remember there being an option for restricted drivers and a need to enable them before wireless would work. I want to say that it appeared in the system tray in your bottom right hand corner. Or top right if you have your task bar up top.

Okay I'm willing to try something new...what's the best distro for a netbook?

if ubuntu is still the best :) then how do I find out which card I have so I can find the driver I need...

If you can boot into Windows, just look in the device manager.
