Your Bucket List

"The recent death of Dave Freeman, co-author of "100 Things to Do Before You Die," after hitting his head in a fall prompted iReport.com to ask users about places they don't want to miss. Freeman visited about half the places on his list, his relatives told The Associated Press"....... This comes from a CNN article about people writing in about what they want to do before they die. Most people who submitted stuff for the story said travel... But I know there are other things people want to do before death. As you can tell by the guy above, death can happen at any time and when we least expect it..... So GuG, what do you want to see and do before you die?

To be living happily ever after. Oh and get a tummy tuck. *does that count?*

Re: Your Bucket List

Take a road trip and go through every state.

See my son graduate college with a great education and doing what he loves.

Find my soulmate.

Own the house of my dreams.

Re: Your Bucket List

I suppose I'd like to get married.  Even though the thought kinda freaks me out a bit.  Have a kid.  That'd be nice someday.  See my baby boy (my brother) get married and have a family of his own.  Start my handbag business.  Learn to swim.  Spend a year of my life living in hotels, motels, inns, while I explore all the beautiful places this world has to offer.  Learn to ice skate really well.  Learn to play both the guitar and the piano.

Take over the world....

Geez.  Lots to do.  I'd better get to it.

Re: Your Bucket List

Edit- So after a deep conversation last night (and by deep I mean the kind you have after a couple of drinks) I realized that I should revise my bucket list.  I want to get married within the next 3 years.  And have a baby before I'm 35.  My friend pointed out to me that it must mean something when, everytime I see a child, I get a 'wistful' look in my eye.  Lol.  So, since we may get sucked into a black hole today, I just wanted to throw that out into the universe.  At least I got to say it if anything!  Ha.

Re: Your Bucket List

OH MIW, once the wistful look comes, thats it, you're ready.  I remember that started for me about 2 yrs before I had my son, everytime I was at the supermarket and saw a baby sitting in the cart, I would just stare and usually talk to it and then I had that longing of ooooohhh I want a babyyyy.  It went on for a long time, then it hit me, OMG I REALLY WANT A BABY SO BAD!! and the rest is history...

Re: Your Bucket List

Yeah I've had the look in my eye for at least a year now.  Eek!  Would be amazing...

Oh and since this is what I want, I suppose I should add one more thing onto my list- learn to drive really well/get a car, so that I can take the little one on drives here and there.   I've never really bothered since where I live I don't really need one.  But I've always really wanted a classic Mustang.  That would be sweet.

Re: Your Bucket List

i remember feeling the same way. i even said, for the longest time, i never really wanted children. even when all our friends were having or had children. it was always kind of out there in the back of my mind to have one and everyone told me i would change my mind and i would just know. i shrugged it off and since my husband felt the same (didnt nag me or need one this instant) i didnt feel rushed. well soon it did hit me. it started with an "aw that baby is so cute but i am too selfish" to "i could change a diaper" and then all of a sudden i would see kids and think about it for the rest of the day.....sharing my life, being unselfish, ....it didnt seem that bad anymore. now that i have one (with absolutely no regrets) i cant describe it in words. its an emotional rollercoaster but the best blessing! so the only other thing to add to my list is to give her everything i can and breath in every moment i get with her without taking it for granted while i am here.

Re: Your Bucket List

I only want to live long enough to see my enemies die.  Or maybe see my kid get married and have a kid(s). Travel to every state in these United States of America. To grow old with my wife. (I've got a bit of a head start on her. She better catch up).

Really as far as stuff I can control I just go do it so there's not much to wish I had done.

I don't want to die without any scars.
