ZangoToolbar - Help

How do I remove the ZangoToolbar???  I've learned you can remove it and POOF there it is again.  Any good programs (free would be nice) that can find it and all of it's hidden components that keep reinstalling it on my computer.  I do run Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy.

Re: ZangoToolbar - Help

Hi, ‘mom.  I recommended this the other night on the Necessary or Helpful Programs thread… try System Mechanic Pro (or something similar).  Works for me to remove stubborn programs.

Sorry I had a KB problem and couldn't respond. You can try downloading one of the zango toolbar removal tools google the underlined text and you will find several I imagine that will be easier than paying money for system mechanic or manually delting all those files

Did you try System Mechanic Pro?  When using it, I’ve never had a problem removing something I didn’t want.  They have a free trial.

 Okay, hang on.

Can you finish up my resume while I look at this?

Re: HEY ASHTON

Initially I'm not seeing it.

But this is initially...I can tell you that toolbars for IE are notorious for hiding spyware add-ins...and you have a lot of those.

Let's do a quick fix while I mull things over. Download this utility

http://www.igorshpak.net/

It has a lot of useful items that are normally found on the computer condensed into one little program package. The one thing it does offer is the ability to block BHO's (Browser Helper Objects). These are items, like toolbars, that start-up with the computer and go beneath the firewall.

Check all BHO's and restart. Open up IE and check your myspaceprofile and then your tracker.

Tell me what happens.

Re: HEY ASHTON

Okay, still looking into it.  I sent an email.

Basically, that line is saying that firefox recognizes that it has been installed into IE but it is not infecting firefox.

Your hijackthis log is showing no known Zango attributes, how attached are you to your toolbars for IE?

Re: HEY ASHTON

Well, here's the deal.

Dang near all of your services are legit, cluttered a little but legit.

So, if it was my computer, what would i do? Probably delete everthing that says toolbar...yahoo, google, etc.

I'm also looking at the browser redirect cab files, but I'm hesitant to say yay or nay. Are you using MSN as your start page?

So, your case isn't easy... and I'm off to dinner with the novia...would tomorrow through email be okay?

Somehow I wonder if that swinger conversation we had a few months back began to effect you;-)
